Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!
I’m Lauren, and I’m an advocate for young people, particularly those labeled as “difficult”, and the grown-ups who care about them. I’m a mom, parent educator, former teacher and constant learner. My approach is relationship-centered and trauma-informed. I’m also a former “difficult” child.
I believe that the best path, for all of us, to a better world, lies in a revolution in the way we raise our children. So, if you are struggling with your relationship with your young person, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s find your authentic voice as a leader and nurturer, and set ourselves and our young people up to thrive!
I’ll listen thoughtfully to help you discover what’s tripping you up in your parenting.
I’ll teach you tools that you can start using RIGHT AWAY in your family.
I’ll support you as you discover how to let your values guide you.
I’ll cheer you on as you become a compassionate, confident leader in your family.
P.S. You might be wondering about my qualifications (and that’s smart of you). After studying human development and social policy, I spent many years working with young people, doing advocacy, support, and program development. I’ve been a youth program supervisor, a pre-school teacher, pre-school director, and worked with parents for many years. Additionally, (and most importantly) I am a certified instructor with Hand in Hand Parenting. Their year-long instructor program is intensive, more than almost every other training program for parent coaches/educators, and it was life-changing for me.
